Welcome to Class 2.

We are a mixed age range class of 21 children. We have 13 Y2s and 8 Y3s

Our teachers in Class 2 are Mr Davies and Mrs Wicks.  Mrs Pennill is our TA.

Forest School is on Thursday afternoons 1 -2.  PE this term is swimming and we will be visiting Market Drayton Pool every Monday.  Children can come in their PE kits on this day.

Homework is weekly and consists of Spelling Shed and MathShed.   We have weekly Spelling Shed activities to help us prepare for our weekly spelling test, a grammar quiz and a MathsShed task.  Homework tasks will be set on a Friday to be handed in on the following Friday.  

We would also like children to read with an adult at home at least three times a week. Children will earn a star on their reading rocket every time they read at home with an adult. Regular readers will be entered into a draw each half term for a book prize.  Year 2 children and those who are doing Little Wandle phonics will have a group book to read and a sharing book to bring home too.

Children should bring a named water bottle with them each day and a raincoat.  The warmer days are coming, so sun hats and sun cream might be needed as we head into Summer!
