About Us
Woore School aims to provide each individual child with an attractive, stimulating and caring learning environment, where all members of its community are valued. We are continually looking for high standards of behaviour and in work, providing all pupils the environment to develop their self-esteem and to take responsibility for their own learning and build upon it.
Through teaching a broad and challenging curriculum we also aim to develop each individual as a complete person who is able to live and work effectively in a literate and numerate society.
We will offer our pupils opportunities to grow intellectually, morally, spiritually, physically and emotionally with aesthetic awareness in a happy and secure environment. Our aims for children to become effective learners can only be achieved by increasing the confidence, trust, tolerance and care between all members of the school community.
The children enjoy learning and playing in the substantial grounds, surrounded by Shropshire farmland. The grounds include a Forest School area, with a fenced pond providing a valuable and unique resource, for environmental education. We have our own nursery for children from 2 years which links very closely to the main school. Each Monday morning 'Jiggletots' takes place in the school hall for children from birth to school age. This is run by an outside provider and is open to the community.
