Sweet Treats from India!

Date: 28th Feb 2025 @ 1:18pm

This week we were very lucky to have the opportunity to try some Indian sweet treats, thanks to Arlo and his family, who returned from India laden with goodies for us to try.  As you can imagine there was planty of interest from the children and when they were presented with their little parcel of sweets, more than one or two raised eyebrows!  These were not the usual bags of Haribo!  In amongst the selection we tried, kaju kathli (with cashews and cardamon seeds), kaju guniya (seeds), mysore pak bin (a fudge - which was everyone's favourite!) and rose laddu (rose petals, pistacchio and coconut).  As you can see from the photos, everyone tucked in enthusiastically, and even thugh some of the sweets were not to everyone's taste, we all thoroughly enjoyed trying a taste of India!
