Key Stage 2 - 2023

Reading

In reading, 66.6% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 27.3% of children achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 73.9% and nationally 72.6%. The average scaled score in reading was 104.4. The average progress score for reading was -1.08

Writing

In writing, 45.5% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 27.3% of pupils achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 68.8% and nationally 71.5%. The average progress score for writing was -1.87.

Mathematics

In mathematics, 36.4% of children achieved the 'Expected' standard and 9.1% of children achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 70.4% and nationally 72.3%. The average scaled score in maths was 97.8. The average progress score for maths was -6.43.

Grammar,  Punctuation and Spelling

This year 45.5% of KS2 children achieved the 'Expected' standard in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling with 27.3% achieving 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected standard in Shropshire this year was 78.2% and nationally 77.9%. The average scaled score in GPS was 102.3. 

Reading, Writing and Maths

Across all subjects of Reading, Writing and Maths, 27.3% of pupils achieved the 'Expected' standard as opposed to 57.5% in Shropshire and 59.5% of pupils nationally. The percentage of pupils achieving a high level of attainment was 9.1% as opposed to 6.4% in Shropshire and 8% of pupils nationally.
