Sportshall Athletics Team

A huge well done to our scportshall athletics team who represented Woore at the annual competition at Maurice Chandler Sports Centre.  Over ten schools took part and our team of Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils did us proud in both the boys and girls competitions finidhing 7th overall.  The children took part in running a relay race, javelin and ball push throwing events and two jumping activities: a standing long jump and speed bounce.  As ever, we are awlays so grateful to every child who takes part in a sporting competition - it is not easy competing with schools who can choose from 60 or 70 Year 6 pupils when we have a whole school population of around 60!  Regardless, every team we send always works hard and tries their best, and this is certainly true of the boys and girls yesterday.  A huge well done to Clara, Hattie, Lilllie, Charlotte, and Robyn; Henry, Jacob, Ted, Archie and George!
