Class 2 Traffic Survey

Class 2 have been busy studying our local area in Geography and this week we took our studies outside!  Before heading out we thought about what sort of traffic we might see.  The children predicted that we would see lots of cars, lorries, vans and possibly the odd tractor! The class went out of the school to count the traffic on London Road.  Armed with our clipboards, pencils and hi-vis jackets we positioned ouselves near the crossing outside school.  We set ourselves a 10 minute window and split into two teams:  Year 4 were counting the South to North traffic and Years 2 and 3 the opposite.  The children were very well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed counting the vehicles.  We came back with lots to to talk about in our next geography lesson and we even saw a tractor!
