Yes, we've been doing limericks this week in English, and it quickly descended into silliness (especially finding things to rhyme with Crewe!) Also we reflected on our recycling talk to have a go at writing some persuasive leaflets and posters.
In Maths, Year 4 and 5 have been reading timetables and having a go at creating their own. This was a good recap of telling the time, using 24hr time and is also one of those real-life skills that always comes in handy. Year 6 have been creating pie charts - which requires a set of different skills (multiplication, % etc) but they have worked admirably with Miss Kemp, so well done 6s!
Next week is science week and we will be looking at how people's bodies change as they reach old age. Parents are welcome to drop in from 2:30.
Letters for the dodgeball competition have been sent out this week. We are very lucky in that we are sending three teams to compete, so if you are able to help supervise the children please let me know. In other PE news, I still have basketball tickets for April, to see the Women's UK finals. These are free, so if you can get to Ellesmere Port, then let me know.
Reports are out on Monday and of course, it is Parents' evening on Thursday and I look forward to sharing all the children's successes with you then.
