The Sweetest Thing

Date: 9th Dec 2018 @ 2:14pm

It certainly is looking a lot like Christmas now!  We have our play on Monday, the cards have been made and we even have a tree up in Class 3.  To get us ready for the festive season, we had a go at making peppermint (or orange) creams.  It's hard to go wring with a recipe of sugar, sugar, a bit more sugar and an egg white, and so it proved!  Everyone made a little batch of sweet treats to take home (we even managed to make a quick box).

We are continuing to get ready for our basketball and handball competitions which take place on Thursday 20th December; there will be letters going out next week.

We looked once more at the Solar System in our science lesson, learning about how scientists moved from a geocentric idea of the solar system, to a heliocentric model.

And finally, Mrs Mason has been helping us to get ready for the Christingle service on 19th December.

As you know, we have a busy few weeks ahead of us, with plenty for the children to look forward to, but also some learning to get on with too!
