Presentations Week
Date: 3rd Mar 2018 @ 6:30am
This week we have been sharing our homework projects with the class. Thank you again for all the hard work that you have put in to help the children; they look superb and show the enthusiasm that the children have had for the Kings and Queens topic we're had this term. We already making a display out of the work, and when everyone has presented, we will put a gallery up on the website for you all to see. Thank you again.
Thursday, was of course World Book Day, and our Kings and Queens theme continued with some amazing costumes. Well done to everyone, you looked amazing.
As you know by now, we say goodbye to Miss Kemp in a few weeks, so we are getting the very most out of her while we can! Miss Kemp is working with the Year 6s in Maths to keep our SATs preparations on track. I know that Mrs Ward has already said as much, but just to re-affirm that we will have the help of Mrs Booth and Mrs O'Dowd both in class, but also at Arthog in the Summer term.
In English this week, we looked at the Seven Ages of Man speech from Shakespeare's As You Like It. The class did really well unpicking the knotty language and translating Shakespeare's ideas into a comic strip. In Maths Year 4 and 5 have been working on multiplying 3 numbers together, whilst Y6 have been exploring ratio with Miss Kemp.
Finally, it will probably be another (very) cold cricket lesson on Monday, so remember to get the kids well wrapped up!
