Mad for Madeline!

This half term we have been reading the classic pictur story of Madeline. The children have enjoyed getting to know this very mischeivous character and all the things she gets up to! As part of our work on the story, the children have been writing diaries as if they were Madeline. We thought carefully about which parts of the story would make a good diary and what Madeline would say about her day. You can have a look at some of our work in the images.
One part of the story that we became really curious about was Madeline's appendix! In the story Madeline gets appendicitis and has to go to hospital. Well, you can imagine this led us to see what an appendix really is!
We also had a go at drawing Madeline, again take a look at the images to see how we did!
