It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Date: 8th Dec 2017 @ 3:27pm
This has been a week of contrasts; we have been practising hard for next week's Christmas play but on the other hand we have been working through some end of term assessments.
Assessments first. The children have sat tests in arithmetic and reasoning in Maths and been tested on the spelings they have been learning since September. With spelling, it is really clear who has been practising at home, as our scores are very impressive. We will revisit any that we are struggling with next term, but will also introduce more weekly spellings for each year group. In Maths we are seeing good understanding of the four operations but we still need to develop our reasoning skills further. Hopefully, this is something we can focus on in the New Year.
The school play is coming together, and although we are only the choir,I have been impressed by how the children have been rehearsing. Please remember that the children will need a Christmas jumper/woolly jumper for Thursday's performances.
