Goodbye Miss Kemp!
Date: 17th Mar 2018 @ 8:10am
This week we said goodbye to Miss Kemp. The children said a sad goodbye to Miss Kemp on Thursday, sharing memories of her (mostly covered in mud at Arthog!), and thanking her for all the hard work she put into life at Woore. We wish her all the very best for her new adventure. Thank you Miss Kemp!
It was lovely to catch up with most of you at parents' evening this week. Thank you for all the hard work that you and the children are doing to help ensure the best progress for your child. Of course, if there are any worries or concerns, please just let me know.
You should have a letter about the class arrangements for next year. Due to the breakdown of numbers, Class 3 will be just for Year 5 and Year 6 next year. At the moment, this means a class of 21, a good small class size.
In English this week, we have been working on descriptive writing and in Maths we have been looking at multiplication. It was of course science week, and we continued to look at human lifecycles, this week thinking about what happens to the body during old age.
It is with science in mind, that we head off to Chester Zoo next week. We are going to use the opportunity to look at different gestation periods for animals - from butterflies to elephants! Of course we will be using our visit to support work in English and Maths too. Can't wait!
Finally, well done to the archery team who competed this week with Mr Roberts. We'll have to wait until all the other schools have had their events, but things look good at the moment. Well done!
