Getting into our stride!
Date: 15th Sep 2019 @ 2:33pm
Our first full week has been incredibly busy! We've written our first longer piece of writing in English - describing our imaginary friend and their homes. We saw some wonderful sentences with great adjective choices! In Maths, we have making progress in our place value understanding.
In Science, we tested the properties of some rocks - including whether acid had any affect on them (this may be was why your child came home smelling of vinegar!).
We have been using Excel too create digital artwork of Stonehenge. We hope to finish these next week and them on display soon!
Talking of artwork, we climbed under our tables on Tuesday to create some cave-style art. We stuck our papers to the underside of the desk to see how challenging drawing in cave might really be!
In PE we have been practising our netball skills - we have some really excellent shooters in Class 2!
And, on Friday, as you now will know (!), we have been handed our ukuleles! Mr Butler came into class and helped us learn about each string and even taught us some chords.
Mrs Mason has guided us through writing some lovely work ready for the Harvest Festival, which we will be happy to share on Tuesday!
Last but not least, we traveled back to the stone age in Forest School, making stone tools and setting up camps. We had a wonderful time!
