Forest air raid shelters

Date: 8th Oct 2024 @ 3:51pm

As part of our history topic of World War Two, we have been learning about the air raid shelters that people built to protect themselves. We used this knowledge to create our own versions out of forest materials and loose parts.

Whilst we were busy elsewhere, the air raid siren sounded, and we had to rush to our shelters and take cover! It gave us a real sense of what people experienced during this period and the fear and panic they must have felt when the siren sounded.
