Cross Country and Harvest

Date: 7th Oct 2018 @ 8:04am

Thursday saw us all trek down to the Grove to take part in the Cross Country event.  The children had to run just under a mile (it looked like a country mile to me!) across all sorts of ground.  I was really proud of all our runners, those daily miles seem to be making a little difference!

The other big event was of course the Harvest Festival at St Leonards.  Thank you for your donations and for attending.  I hope you enjoyed our WW2 harvest!

In maths we have been building up our skills at multiplication, using bigger numbers all the time.  In English we have started to look at how to write a play script, using Carrie's War to help us.  We will do more on this next week.

Our science this half term is focused on dinosaurs and how scientists piece together evidence to support their ideas.  This week we looked at the three periods of the Mesozoic era.  We had to learn lots of big words!

Next week is Forest School (with added soup!), so please remember kits.
