County Finals and Fun in the Sun!
Date: 8th Jul 2018 @ 12:53pm
Monday and Tuesday were our move up days, and I was really pleased with the new look Class 3, their behaviour and their attitude. Well don eeverybody! The days were quite unusual in that there was so much going on! The Year 6s going to Madeley enjoyed their own move up day; Coach Neil was wilth us in the afternoon for another Reading the Game session and on Tuesday, it was the final of the county rounders tournament.
The team has done so well to get to Shrewsbury, and although the result may not have been what we hoped for, everyone at school is so proud of the 11 who took part. 4th place out of all the small schools in Shropshire is an amzing achievement!
Wednesday was a hard day of learning. How to drive a go kart! How to fill a water gun! How to bounce on a bouncy castle for 5 minutes without burning your feet! Class 3 were superb all day, and had a great time.
On Friday we were very lucky to have a visitor from the Dogs Trust who taught us all about how dogs have been bred from wolves for different jobs. The class taught me all about corgi and rotweilers (herding cattle!) and dalmations (pulling coaches!).
In between all this excitement we have tried to rehearse for our leavers assembly and the play, and this will be a big focus next week.
