Computing news

Date: 22nd Oct 2021 @ 12:06pm

This half term the children in Year 1 have been getting to grips with our new mini laptops. During computing sessions Year 1 have been developing some really tricky skills and have enjoyed embracing such a challenge. Over the past few weeks the children have been learning how to complete tasks using MS Word such as typing, editing, selecting and formating. We are really fortunate to have this wonderful resource to help us further develop our knowledge and skills.

In Reception this half term the children have been using our school IPads to interact with age approperiate apps. The IPads and games selected were used to support fine motor development. It was great to see how confident the children were in using the IPads and how familiar they were with navigating this resource.

Look out over the following half term for our next piece of computing news as Year 1 will be learning about coding on computers and Reception will be using our Bee-Bots.

Well done Class 1

Miss H
