Chocolate Rocks!

Date: 3rd Jan 2024 @ 2:30pm

As part of our work on rocks and soil last term, the children explored the rock cycle and how we could investigate how sedimentary rocks develop. how these can become metamorphic rocks and how igneous rocks are formed too.  We started by layering white and milk chocolate into clear bags.  This was then melted by the awesome power of our hands!  Once it melted, it was left to cool.  We were left with some very tasty rocks and a good understanding of rocks are formed and changed over time.
