Biking and VR!

We had two major highlights this week in the form of bikeability and VR!
We are very lucky that, here in Shropshire, we are able to hire such technology as a class set of VR sets. We had a great time, firstly exploring ancient Roman sites like the Colosseum and artefacts such as Roman vases, before we hada bit of fun swimming with sharks (quite scary as it turns out!). One of the most pleasing aspects of this experience was how the children were able to discuss how this sort of technlogy could be used - helping disabled visitors who might not be able to access such sites, giving museums the chance to share objects with lots of people without harming them; the class came up with lots of really well thought out ideas.
Then, on Friday, we had our turn at Bikeability! All the children, regardless of ability, enjoyed the sessions and learnt something about riding safely and properly. The instructors were really impressed with the children's listening and skills. Well done Class 2!
