Assessments
Date: 11th Feb 2018 @ 8:20pm
Wow, we have worked hard this week! It's been assessments, and the children have put plenty of effort into their 3 maths tests. reading and spellings! The plan, like last term, is to get these papers to you so that you can see how your child has done and discuss things they found tricky (and those bits that were easy too!). For Year 6, it was a good practice for SATs in May, and as before, they have had a go at past papers - which assess end of year learning - and we're not there yet. I'm really pleased with the progress Year 6 are making.
On Monday we had our second Chance to Shine Cricket session with James, from Shropshire Cricket - and we even managed to beat the weather and get outside!
In topic we looked at the modern Royal Family as we finished the first part of our topic on kings and queens. The children have already come up with a list of other kings and queens for next half term! Remember that projects are due after the holidays for Class 3.
A big well done to the hockey team for finishing third in the North Shropshire finals - that is a real achievement. And whilst we're on achievements, well done to Grace and Liam for getting their Toy Story stories from Christmas published in an upcoming book!
