All about us
Date: 6th Oct 2019 @ 7:18pm
We have had a very busy half term so far learning about our bodies and what they can do. Over the last few weeks we have been discovering how amazing our senses are and have tried some different things to eat and smell.
We have been harvesting in the school garden and tasting the vegetables as part of our salad making. We loved sharing this with you at our Harvest Festival.
In our geography lessons we have been learning about the 7 continents of the world and about the countries of the UK. We have also looked at the capital cities of these countries before looking more closely at our local area. Last week we enjoyed our walk in the village and drew some of the important buildings we saw, we even had time for a quick play at the park!
One of our highlight over the past few weeks has been our artwork with Mark Riley our visiting artist. We enjoyed making our tree fruit which tells the story of our dreams. We also had a go at weaving the willow tree from which we will hang our ‘dreams’. Soon, we will put it all together when Mark returns to help us.
We have had some special visitors on our Wednesday afternoons over the past few weeks. We have enjoyed listening to the stories from our ‘Secret Readers’. Thank you parents and grandparents for sharing your books with us!
