Despite the heat, Class 3 show no signs of letting up, with what has been another busy week! We are very lucky to have coach Neil with us on Monday afternoons for Reading the Game. We set the children a target of reading 50 books over the six week course; and I'm happy to say we are over the 30 mark, with three weeks remaining! We are really happy that Madame Gorman has returned to lead us in our French lessons. This half-term we are revising numbers and all about ourselves, whilst moving on towards likes and dislikes. In English we are reading 'Journey to the River Sea' by Eva Ibbotson, and the children have been creating books on rainforests and Brazil to help the main character, Maia, learn more about her new home. In Maths, we have been exploring nets and 3D shapes.
Last week was also our RSE week, I would like to thank the children for their sensible attitude towards what, can be, an embarrassing and awkward subject. Well done everybody!
The last few weeks are so busy, with move up days, sporting events and the class play (keep rehearsing at home!), but the class are woring really hard and will deserve their long summer break.
