Key Stage 2 - 2018

 

Reading

In reading, 75% of children achieved the 'Expected' level and 12.5% of children achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected level in Shropshire this year was 77% and nationally 75%. The average scaled score in reading was 104.12. The average progress score for reading was -2.8.

Writing

In writing, 75% of children achieved the 'Expected' level. Pupils achieving the expected level in Shropshire this year was 78% and nationally 78%. The average progress score for writing was -4.3.

Mathematics

In mathematics, 62.5% of children achieved the 'Expected' level and 12.5% of children achieved 'Greater Depth'. Pupils achieving the expected level in Shropshire this year was 75% and nationally 75%. The average scaled score in maths was 102.5. The average progress score for maths was -3.5.

Grammar,  Punctuation and Spelling

This year 62.5% of KS2 children achieved the 'Expected' level in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. Pupils achieving the expected level in Shropshire this year was 78% and nationally 77%. The average scaled score in GPS was 100.5. 

Reading, Writing and Maths

Across all subjects of Reading, Writing and Maths, 50% of pupils achieved the 'Expected' level as opposed to 63% in Shropshire and 64% of pupils nationally.

Key Stage 1 - 2017

 

Reading

In reading, 86% of children in KS1 achieved the 'Expected' level and 14% achieved 'Greater Depth'. In Shropshire 74% of pupils achieved the expected level (national 75%) with 26% achieving 'Greater Depth' (national 26%).

Writing

In writing, 43% of children achieved the 'Expected' level and 14% achieved 'Greater Depth'. In Shropshire 68% of pupils achieved the expected level (national 70%) with 16% achieving 'Greater Depth' (national 16%).

Mathematics

In mathematics 86% of children achieved the 'Expected' level with 0% achieving 'Greater Depth'. In Shropshire 74% of pupils achieved the expected level (national 76%) with 21% achieving 'Greater Depth' (22% national).

Reading, Writing and Maths

Across all subjects of Reading, Writing and Maths, 43% of pupils achieved the 'Expected' level as opposed to 62.1% in Shropshire and 65.4% nationally.

Phonics Screening Check

In 2018, 100% of Y1 pupils passed the phonics screening check. There were no children sitting the Y2 phonics check in 2018.

Good Level of Development

At the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), 85.7% of pupils achieved a Good Level of Development. This means that pupils reached the expected level in the prime areas of learning (Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development) and Literacy and Maths.
