Woore Primary and Nursery School

 L3 Extended Schools Leader

Grade 6 (scp 7), £10.60 per hour

Fixed Term contract

14.75 hours per week (8.00-8.45am and 3.00-5.30pm daily)

 Required from September 2022

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic extended schools leader to run the before and after school care provision at our small, rural primary school. The role will include the morning before-school care session and the after-school care session. This role will be Monday to Friday during term time. A Level 3 certificate/diploma in play work or equivalent is required.

The successful applicant will:

  • Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and deliver a range of fun, active and stimulating activities
  • Organise and manage registration and departure procedures
  • Create a safe environment for the children
  • Plan carefully to cater for pupils of different abilities
  • Provide pupils with a range of food and drink options
  • Take responsibility for health & safety and accident prevention
  • Have lead responsibility for safeguarding, reporting any issues to Headteacher
  • Liaise with parents/carers and school representatives

              Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

 

Grade 7 (scp 12), £11.70 per hour

Fixed Term Contract (Sept 2022-Aug 2023 with possible extension)

Full time 26.25 hours per week

Required from September 2022

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our caring and supportive school. This post will be a full-time position to support the delivery of early reading, phonics and mathematics within small groups. In addition to this, the role will include working with pupils with SEND and covering whole classes across the school. A good knowledge of early reading, phonics and mathematics is preferred. The applicant will be required to work from Monday to Friday from 9.00am-3.15pm.

 The successful applicant will:

  • Have Higher level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status
  • Have at least 6 years relevant experience working in an educational setting
  • Have a good understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Be dedicated to support pupils with SEND
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and positive behaviour management
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Be innovative and resourceful
  • Have energy, enthusiasm and drive
  • Have a sense of humour and fun
