Summer Term in Class 3

Hi everyone, and welcome back.

This term our topic is Moving and Growing.

We will be practising and improving our writing skills in fiction, non-fiction and poetry in English this term and in maths we be applying our mathematical knowledge and understanding to some wonderful and enriching maths problems.

In science our topics are Plants and Living Things and their Habitats. In Geography we will be looking at Water and Our Local Area which we have also linked to our history when we explore the history of Our Local Area. In addition, we will be having fun this term in history when we look Beyond 1066 and learn about Crime and Punishment.

Art this term links nicely to our science topic of plants, here we will be drawing, painting and making plants and flowers. Textiles are our DT focus and we will be making something using the material of felt.

E-safety and statistics are our computing topics and in RE we will be answering the question: Why should we respect and value the planet? As well as looking at the religion of Buddhism.

Finally, in music this term we will continue to learn to play the recorder and we will be learning a piece from history. We will also be choosing, learning and performing a new song for our leaver’s assembly.

It's going to be another fun filled and busy term and I can't wait to get started.
